Peace has always been a passion of mine. I joined this association when I realized I was becoming too cynical about it's prospects. I believe even if I cannot save the world, I would like to participate in the process. Peace is, after all, an attitude.

I am fifteen years old and I walk the halls of an American public highschool everyday. I see very disappointing attributes in my peers, but I also see an ability to do a tremendous good. We are the next generations, we will inherit millions of global problems, but I hope we will also inherit the will to solve them. I see it as our civic duty to try.

I grew up part wild child and part bookish. I love to wake up at 4 am and catch the sunrise. I love to go for long walks in the rain. I also love Jane Austen, Flaubert, and am just beginning to fall in love with Nabokov. I've been writing since before I can remember, but I have, only recently begun to consider it actual poetry. I write to be at peace with my emotions. So I suppose, writing is my way of finding serenity.
