We Are...
There comes a time
to rise up to a call
when the world
needs to stand for one and all.
When people are fighting and dying
and echoes are heard
of children crying.
Reach out and take a strangers hand
and uphold the greatest gift
the gift of life in every land.
We can pretend day by day
that something will come
and make it all okay
but we are the ones who hold tomorrow.
We are the ones who
must ease all of the sorrow.
When tragedy rains
and war prevails
and our sisters and brothers ail,
When there seems no hope exists
the army of unity enlists.
We are the voices ,
we make the choices,
we are the ones to suffer
when tragedy unfurls.
We are the children;
we are the world.
We are all a part
of this world wide family;
sisters and brothers
in vast unity.
Send your heart
and say you care
send a little
it's enough to share.
We can turn
tears into bread
so every hungry
soul is fed.
We can change
the tides of fate;
love can never
come too late.
When tragedy rains
and war prevails
and our sisters and brothers ail,
When there seems no hope exists
the army of unity enlists.
We are the voices ,
we make the choices,
we are the ones to suffer
when tragedy unfurls.
We are the children;
we are the world.

A Legacy Of Peace
When days shall pass where I am no more,
May you hear an echo of my soul roar.
Peculiar though, to some it seems;
"Peace" is what my spirit screams.
Stop to listen when the elder speak;
A little kindness is all they seek.
A hug, kiss, or tender smile-
these are what shall give you style!
Happiness given, is how peace grows.
Bite your tounge; dwell not on your woes.
Leave space for nature, oh so pure.
Animals & children are heartaches cure!
I wear a peace sign round my neck;
a constant reminder while the world is a wreck.
I live by my words, come what may;
"find peace" is what I wish to say.
So when you come to see my grave,
I hope your money, you shall save.
No floral tribute to honor me;
it's peace instead, I long to see!
Connected
We are all in this turning world together
And the same moon lights our summer nights
We're holding hands, through the distant space between us
We are sisters of the spinning satellites
We never met, yet somehow I feel your essence
In your words laid across a shimmering screen
Distance melts in the silver iridescence
Just as snow melts to summer fields of green
The differences are growing dim
The chance of war is growing slim
We're linked by stars that spin in space
We're sisters of the human race
And God is watching over you and me
Separated by a mighty sea
I never saw you, yet I know what you are thinking
Just like me you would like to be my friend
Light my life when your fantasies are blinking
Through the crystal windows of delight
Touch the keys and we all become one nation
Touch my heart with the beauty of your name
Your phrases sift through the filters of translation
And our languages all become the same
The differences are growing dim
The chance of war is growing slim
We're linked by stars that spin in space
We're sisters of the human race
And God's aware of every flow and ebb
Of hearts connected by a fragile web
