He Heard Her Call

I heard tell that Jesus returned to us today
Paying an early visit he had something to say,
Arriving for a special reason, he was on a specific mission
Walking through the streets ignoring our transgression,

The news traveled fast as people came from far and wide
Just so that they could walk along next the King's side,
The streets filled to capacity to see if it was really true
So many filled with wonderment wondering what he would do,

He floated down the streets like an angel almost as if upon a cloud
Touching the hands of so many people lifting their hopeless shroud,
The air blowing all around his robes was so peaceful and serene
The clouds parted to reveal a blue sky it was an awesome scene,

For many many miles the people trailed behind their King
Glory be to him as the angels of the Earth began to sing,
Jesus only stopped when approached by a person in need
Gently touching their heads to plant his welcoming seed,

But all who had him in their hearts knew he was there for a reason
He was answering a special call in person to abolish a certain treason,
Suddenly in the heart of the city he stopped just before the park
Dusk was drawing the day to an end and the trees looked rather stark,

Jesus stepped over the threshold and it lit up as if it were day
Songbirds started to sing a tune in a gentle and harmonic way,
Angels started to float about released from the Heaven's above
Those standing around felt their hearts swell with tremendous love,

Jesus suddenly stopped at the foot of a grand old oak tree
All the people watched wanting a glimpse at what he did see,
There at the bottom of the tree was a little girl all alone
The light of Jesus love upon the tears on her face was shone,

In the presence of her Heavenly Father slowly she opened her eyes
Struck by such an amazement she stifled her little anguished cries,
"Come to me my little one, be my angel," Was all that Jesus said
as slowly he lifted the girl in his arms kissing her upon her head,

With the child in his arms he looked amongst the massive crowd
In a gentle tone he said,"Abuse of my children is not allowed,"
A dove flew in from the sky to land upon the little girls shoulder
Jesus with the child disappeared leaving in its place a boulder,

Darkness fell across the park every viewer was left in awe
None could hardly believe the sight that they had just saw,
But upon the boulder the inscription was left plainly for all to see
It was in Jesus own words," Suffer the little children to come unto me."
Mark 10:14

Heavenly Spring

When my time on this Earth does come to call
I do not want it to be Winter, Summer or Fall,
When I step across the threshold of the Pearly Gates
and I enter into God's wonderfully gorgeous Estates.

When through the air I hear that sweet bell ring
as an angel of God I want to float into Spring,
With the mountains of majesty touching the cloudless sky
With wings like a bird over the great land I can fly,

The sweet aroma of lilacs tantalize all of my senses
The rivers flow freely without holding any pretenses,
Just the reflection of the glimmering sun to show
as they glide down to a World the Earth could not know,

The valleys and hills carpeted with the grandest of green
The most beautiful blossoming plants that I have ever seen,
dotting the country side with a colorful display
Oh, this would be Heaven the place for me to stay,

The fruit of the land grows plentiful for all to partake
The warmth of Gods caress in my soul I could not forsake,
It comes to me in the whispers of the fresh Spring Breeze
I am free to roam this world forever if that's what I please,

The sparrows, robins, and blue jays fly gracefully all about
They fear not the people as it is now true freedom we shout,
I dance through the forests racing along with the wild deer
My feet are light and airy my very essence is becoming clear,

With the burst of each new blossom that explodes from a plant
I realize I have reached eternity with a Springtime to enchant,
Through the valleys, the mountain and forest trails I roam
I hear a whisper in my heart it softly says,"Welcome Home!"

The Old Oak Tree

In the middle of nowhere in the forest there
amongst the prickly pines, layered over with vines
broken twigs cover the ground breaking the faint sound
The trail empty, cold, but what a sight to behold
There the Old Oak Tree stands tall awaiting your call
His bark weathered and worn, even a little torn
His branches extended wide, swelling with his pride
He is bursting at the seams his wisdom he screams
His voice the wind howling, as the pines stand scowling
This old Oak tree is wise not taken by surprise
Sailing the breeze he can see, his seedlings are free
Spiraling through the air, together as a pair
soon the seedlings will grow, with the brilliant sun's glow
Their soft young leaves bright, reflecting a healthy light
The foundation of strong roots, produce tiny shoots
It won't take the newborns long to grow big and strong
And when you return one day you'll find a display
The forest colors alive as the new young thrive
Bursting with red and yellow, the orange is mellow
The new leaves will fall awaiting Spring to come call
Covered over with snow with a legend to show
The old Oak tree producing such a sight to see
Covering the Earth with what it needs to rebirth
Strong within its stealth reproducing it's own wealth
