Hi- My name is Albert Gazeley. I am a retired industrialist- I am English but have spent the majority of my adult life in
Hong Kong, Thailand, and the Far East generally- my wife is Chinese/Thai and we have two grown children and three wonderful
grandchildren.
I was a victim of the London blitz and after being bombed out was evacuated to Cambridge during World War II - and I moved
to the Hong Kong ( then a British Colony ) after my National Service in the Royal Air Force. I lived on the fringe of the
Vitamin war and then through the Hong Kong riots during the Chinese Cultural Revolution -I still spend most of my time in
Hong Kong ( which is now officially part of China once more ) but I also have a second home on U.K. and consequently travel
back and forth quite a lot. I enjoy travelling and have visited many countries around the world.
I have enjoyed writing poetry for more than fifty years - I suppose I am something of an unschooled folkpoet who writes
on almost any topic including religion, politics, nature and the environment and of course current affairs- consequently I
am strong on experience and emotion and but weak on spelling and grammar.
I have been published and quoted in numerous newspapers and magazines over the years. I have sat on many boards and committees
and have represented both Hong Kong and UK at international conferences. Apart from writing, I have too many hobbies to mention.
