I love animals and am very much into their protection and welfare. I also love nature and spend quite a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains.
My hobbies include poetry, drawing and the research and enjoyment of the historical cemeteries of Colorado.
I am a mother of two daughters and two step sons. I have two beautiful grandchildren and am lucky enough to see them often.
My poetry is almost always in form, usually sonnets which I love.
Thank you for visiting my page.

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

When a man wantonly destroys the work of man we call him a vandal...when a man wantonly destroys the work of God we call him a sportsman....Joseph Wood Krutch

"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages."
--Thomas Edison

The Pen

With words I find the courage to define
the movement of my spirit's restless sway.
So driven by obsession I entwine
the syllables with truths to find the way.

The sonnets fall with passion to the page,
With ecstasy I bleed the verse's bliss.
In poetry's sweet rapture I engage,
For no desire more wholly loved than this.

I cannot deem my lines devoid of flaws,
Nor do I strive to will another's praise.
I seek not the excitement of applause,
But find my joy in working of the phrase.

The rise of rhyme within my soul does swell,
And every care of life then leaves my heart.
No room for burdens, worries then to dwell
Too overcome with dreams I must impart.

I come to write again and then again,
My passion is the magic of the pen.
