Namaste! I am a bureaucrat( Ah! The hated tribe). I have an abiding interest in learning languages, educational and health issues, and Nature.

I started dabbling in poetry only from last year. I am a jack of all trades- often engaged in multiple activities at the same time. I am always on the look out for opportunities to enhance my knowledge and skills.

I am a typical Tauran- a bit obstinate, a bit short tempered but otherwise, quite a likable person. An introvert, I open up with people only when I get to know them well.

During my stint in rural areas, I saw the impact of meddling with Nature, be it in the form of deforestation, excessive exploitation of underground water or by the construction of big dams. I am eager to join hands with like-minded people in increasing awareness about Environment. I believe that we are blessed with a legacy of traditional wisdom in many areas: Our ancestors knew how to live in harmony with Nature. It is time that we reclaim the heritage.

My cottage!

Deep in the womb of a rain forest,
Secluded, at the foot of a crest,
A furlong away from a gushing stream,
Ravishing like a gilded dream,
There lies, in the bosom of a vale,
My cottage, my Shangri-La, my paradise.

The morn awakens to mellifluous notes.
On the verdant forest, the nature dotes.
Cloaked in emerald leaves, the deodar trees,
Sway gently to the rhythm of scented breeze.
And there, my impatient spirit finds,
A place to rest, a refuge, a tranquil lair.

No longer bound by finite thought,
No longer elated, no longer distraught,
Possessed of an inner calm that wisdom brings,
My gentle spirit expands its wings
To introspect in these sylvan surroundings
As the fidgety time stands still in respect.
